Located in the beautiful multicultural land of Bukovina, USV is surrounded by the highest density of UNESCO monuments in this part of Europe and many picturesque landscapes, which provide students with extraordinary opportunities for extracurricular activities.
ACCREDITED UNIVERSITY
USV is a state-accredited higher education institution with a mixed profile (humanities, life and earth sciences, technical and economic) which offers high quality university and postgraduate education at a relatively low cost.
HIGH DEGREE OF CONFIDENCE
As a result of the external institutional evaluations, the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education awarded USV the rating “High degree of Confidence”, i.e. the highest rating that a university can receive in the national education system.
MULTIDISCIPLINARY TRAINING
11 faculties: Law and Administrative Sciences, Economics, Administration and Business, Physical and Sports Education, Food Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive and Robotics, History and Geography, Letters and Communication Sciences, Medicine and Biological Sciences, Forestry, and Educational Sciences.
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
USV is accredited as a national research and development unit by the National Authority for Scientific Research. The academic staff as well as the more than 300 doctoral USV students carry out an intense activity of research, development and innovation recognized at the international level.
INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGES
At USV, around 9,000 students study under the coordination of around 600 full-time and associate teachers and with the administrative assistance of 400 people. Thanks to USV’s more than 150 international partnerships, students can complete study and research internships at higher education institutions in more than 50 countries.

FREE TIME, RECREATION
Students can carry out their specialized practice and other academic activities at Cabana Şipoţel, at the Gălăneşti teaching base and at the Territorial Education Center of Vatra Dornei, which offers comfortable accommodation and educational spaces equipped with the technical means necessary for the successful development of applied and recreational projects.

CULTURAL-SPORTING ACTIVITIES
A swimming and physiotherapy centre, an indoor sports field, a gym, an astronomical observatory, a library, and the Joseph Schmidt Auditorium are among the facilities on the USV university campus where students can engage in recreational, cultural, and sporting activities in modern settings.
HIGH-STANDARD EQUIPMENT
Students have access to 21 facilities of approximately 66,000 m2, which include 140 laboratories with a total capacity of 2,100 people, 41 classrooms and seminars with a total capacity of 2,900 people, and seven student dorms with a total capacity of 1300 people.
PROJECTS FOR THE FUTURE
A lake for water sports, a multipurpose hall, a dendrological park, a greenhouse complex, nanotechnology and biotechnology research centers, a culture house, student dormitories, and a library are just a few of the elements included in the urban project of the second USV campus, which will span 30 ha and be located 3 km from the current campus.
